He was nominated for a 2021 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album and was inducted into the Broward Education Foundation Hall of Fame in 2020 for his works with the Black Violin Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which awards music students with grants and scholarships to further their education. Kevin also performed with Black Violin at Barack Obama’s inauguration in 2013.
